Becker violins are meticulously hand-crafted in Romania by skilled, experienced craftsmen using time-tested construction methods. The factory began production over 50 years ago with a small quantity of handmade violins and now takes pride in a student line that embraces both tradition and practicality, with instruments engineered to withstand daily use without sacrificing quality or tone. The Becker violin is adjusted at our supplier's bowed instrument center where it is precisely adjusted by a dedicated and skilled craftsmen to meet the exacting specifications set forth by the Music Educators National Conference (MENC). This quality shop adjustment ensures that every instrument is meticulously adjusted for ease of play and maximum response: Pegs are properly taperd to fit peg holes and dressed with peg compound. Fingerboard nut is adjusted to proper contour and height. String grooves are notched, correctly spaced and lubricated. Fingerboard is planed for maximum string vibration. Bridge is carefully fitted and adjusted for correct height, curvature, and string spacing. Soundpost is precisely fitted and positioned for optimum tone and response. Tailpiece is fitted with nylon tailgut adjuster and string adjusters. Strings are properly installed for ease of tuning Available in 4/4 through 1/16 sizes, all outfits come with a deluxe case and Glasser horsehair bow.
